Audio Remix

Following my previous posts about video remixes, I decided to post an audio remix...

This is a remixed version of the song 'Grenade' by Bruno Mars.

Listen, enjoy and create.

The video was created by myself - the photo is the Bruno Mars Grenade Photo and the song is 'Grenade (Passion Pit remix)'.

Taken down Remixes/Mashups

I do not know many remixes/mashups which have been taken down, but I have managed to find a few.

'Both my We Found Love and Titanium remixes were taken down off soundcloud for copyright.'

I have heard from a few people as well as read that SoundCloud takes down copyright music and videos, therefore both the remixes were taken off SoundCloud, but they were moved to YouTube and so far are still there!

Here are the links:

Rihanna - We Found Love (Eos Remix) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwdin_Vgzjc

David Guetta - Titanium (Eos Remix) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qiM1pk1ffxU

***

Many video and audio remixes are taken down because of 'copyright reasons'.
Video servers, such as YouTube, take down videos which they believe (or rather their system) has copyright in them. Therefore many music and video remixes, having material copied from either a song or video can be taken off.
Also, mashups can be banned because they are offensive.

Usually, once a remix is taken down, it will be uploaded onto a different server, so it won't die and people will still be able to find it.

I personally have had a few problems with the YouTube EMI COPYRIGHTS. They have either muted my video, or banned it in certain countries... very annoying!

If anyone does know of any remixes/mashups (video or audio) which have been taken down, please tell me about them in the comments section.

Thanks for reading :)

Sadly 2011 was not only a year full of happiness. 2011 saw many deaths of famous and liked people such as Steve Jobs, who sadly passed away on 5th October 2011. The next weeks were spent in commemoration of Steve Jobs. If you look at the older posts you will find information about him and information about how people mourned over his death.
Also,  2011 saw the death of Muammar Gaddafi on 20th October, a very unpopular Libyan tyrant. After his death most people rejoiced, especially Libyan citizens.
Not only was Colonel Gaddafi killed, but also the very dangerous Osama bin Laden, the leader of Al-Qaeda.
President Obama had the privilege to announce that on 2 May 2011.

2011 was a tough year for many due to the financial crisis, illnesses and many other reasons, but we managed to survive and came out with out heads held high. We are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel and we must keep going. As we progress, the financial crisis is starting to fade and problems to solve, letting us have a pleasant year ahead.
For me 2011 was a happy and great year and I hope it was the same for you.

I wish you all the best in 2012. Let the year of the Dragon be a good year for you, your family and friends.

Happy New Year,

Best,

DB

James Bond

At last I have decided on a presentation topic!
I shall do my presentation on James Bond. I am a huge fan of him, I have read the books written by Ian Fleming and also watched all the movies. As we know the new Bond is coming out in 2012 called 'Skyfall', I think it will be a good idea to a presentation on the great James Bond.

In my presentation I shall talk about:

  1. Ian Fleming
  2. The different James Bonds (different actors)
  3. Bond Girls
  4. M
  5. Q
  6. Bond's cars
  7. Skyfall
  8. Show a few clips (if there is time).
I hope that when the presentation is done, it will be very exciting and interesting... I shall keep you posted about its progress...

Steve Jobs Presentation

I've thought about the presentation and decided to present it on a very special and important person. I shall do my presentation on Steve Paul Jobs, to us known just as Steve Jobs (former CEO of Apple).
Here is a timeline of Steve Jobs for the last 5 years:

2006 Jan. 10 Steve Jobs introduces the first two Intel Macs at Macworld, the iMac and the MacBook Pro.
Jan. 24 The Walt Disney Company acquires Pixar for $7.4 billion, and Steve joins the board.
Feb. 28 Apple releases its first living-room product, the iPod hi-fi.
Apr. 18 Steve Jobs announces Apple’s intention to erect a second campus in Cupertino.
Aug. 7 Apple completes the transition of its entire product line to the Intel platform with Mac Pro.

2007 Jan. 9 Steve Jobs introduces Apple TV and iPhone at Macworld. Apple Computer becomes Apple Inc.
Apr. The SEC files charges against Apple’s Nancy Heinen and Fred Anderson for options backdating.
Jun. 29 iPhone is released in the US, the same day as Pixar’s Ratatouille.
Dec. 5 Steve Jobs is inducted in the California Hall of Fame by Gov. Schwartzenegger.

2008 Jan. 15 Steve Jobs introduces the world’s thinnest notebook, the MacBook Air, at Macworld.
Mar. 6 Apple announces it will open the iPhone platform to outside developers with the App Store.
Aug. The SEC clears Steve Jobs of any responsibilities in the options backdating scandal.

2009 Jan. 5 Steve Jobs takes a medical leave of absence for six months.
Apr. Steve has surgery for a liver transplant.
Aug. 3  Google CEO Eric Schmidt leaves Apple's board because of conflicting interests due to Android.
Aug. 28 Apple releases Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, stripped off any code from the original Mac OS.
Sep. 9 Steve Jobs makes his first public appearance of the year at an Apple Music Event.

2010 Jan. 27 Steve Jobs unveils iPad, the much-anticipated Apple tablet.

Steve has worked in Apple for many years: he started Apple, then he got fired and so he left and founded NeXt, then later Apple bought NeXt bringing Steve back to Apple.

'In 1986, he acquired the computer graphics division of Lucasfilm Ltd, which was spun off as Pixar Animation Studios. He was credited in Toy Story (1995) as an executive producer. He remained CEO and majority shareholder at 50.1 percent until its acquisition by The Walt Disney Company in 2006, making Jobs Disney's largest individual shareholder at seven percent and a member of Disney's Board of Directors. Apple's 1996 buyout of NeXT brought Jobs back to the company he co-founded, and he served as its interim CEO from 1997, then becoming permanent CEO from 2000, onwards, spearheading the advent of the iMac, iTunes, iPod, iPhone, and iPad.In buying NeXT, Apple also "acquired the operating system that became Mac OS X." From 2003, Jobs fought an eight-year battle with cancer, and eventually resigned as CEO in August 2011, while on his third medical leave. He was then elected chairman of Apple's board of directors.'

Steve has presented many of the gadgets which mostly everyone uses such as: the iPod Touch, iPhone, iPad and Macs. Steve's favourite was the iPhone. It was his main project and a device that he put all his heart and soul into. Steve went around showing people the iPhone, for example he showed the Russian President how to use the iPhone 4 in 2010.

Steve was friends with Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft, even though they had a long rivalry.

Steve unfortunately died on 5th October 2010, he was only 56, but he suffered from pancreatic cancer and that brought his final blow.

We will all remember Steve as an visionary and a creative genius, as well as an amazing human being. He has helped bring up our technology to where it is today.
Have a look at my previous posts when Steve Jobs died, there is some information and thoughts about him.

Read this - a quote about him:
'Steve Jobs is undeniably an extraordinary man by any standard. He has left his mark on no less than five industries: personal computers with Apple II and Macintosh, music with iPod and iTunes, phone with iPhone, and animation with Pixar. The middle-class hippie kid with no college education that he was built a computer empire and became a multi-millionaire in a few years, was fired from his own company before coming back a decade later to save it and turn it into one of the world’s most influential corporations, with millions of fans around the world. He has also contributed to the creation of the new leader in animated movies for decades to come. He has been called a fluke for years, but is now widely acknowledged as one the world’s most eminent business executives and an unrivaled visionary. He has changed millions of lives by making technology easy-to-use, exciting and beautiful.… And you know what the best part is? He’s not done yet.'

I will do the presentation and put it up for you to see. The info above is short and I will of course add.
